Valentine's Day {Idea and a FREEBIE}!

Oh Valentine's Day--how funny you are! I really like you when I'm with my littles.
All of the red and pink and LOVE :) :)

We made these hats from paper plates last year during our Valentine's party--cute, right?!

Thanks, Kristen Walsky, for the cutie shape clip art!

These little hats were easy as pie, cheap cheap cheap, and just precious on their heads!
Little on the right got super creative/was possibly going through an Angry Bird phase.
:)

I found the idea on Pinterest and here is the {link} to show you exactly what to do.
The picture below is from her website!

You can make so many fun hats!!

Along with the hats, we had tons of fun lovey math and literacy stations--all for the big day!!
This is a fun FREEBIE that might be a math station or partner activity!

Directions: The students roll a pair of die and add the pips (the little dots) together. Then, color in a space above the total. It might be helpful to give students a certain number of rolls, or even a time limit!

Mrs. Lynes from Simply Second Grade just shared the neatest idea with me--and I have to pass it along!!

Here is how she uses the dice game:

"I do a similar game to your Rolling, Rolling, Rolling game!
However, instead of coloring the boxes I make my kiddos write the addition problem in the
box above the correct sum!
For example, if they roll 3 and 4, they write "3+4" in the 7 box!"

LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Thank you, Mrs. Lynes!!!

Just click on the picture to grab your freebie.
:)

Thanks fontpalace.com and kevinandamanda.com for the free fonts!

Fun Fact: Pay attention to where the majority of the sums lie--sometimes math just blows my mind!

And even better, did you happen to find these dice in the Target Dollar Section?!

TOO. CUTE.
Oh how I love the Target Dollar Section. Truly.

Well that's all for today, folks!
I'll be back soon to share some cutie little valentine's that I absolutely adore.
YAY!
