Still there?!

Good grief, y'all. What meant to be a little break from blogging turned out to be a bigger break--
BUT I'M BACK!
:)

I went bee-bopping around Europe to observe classrooms in another country and it was just incredible. It was powerful to see that teachers in other parts of the world use the same classroom management techniques that we do, even though they speak a different language.
Kids are kids no matter the language, right?! They also had cutesy alphabet posters, number lines, and anchor charts all over their walls, just like we do!

They also make cute sea animals out of toilet paper tubes!

Then, one of my dearest friends got married--it was so fun and joyful...and I cried.
:)
Marriage is just the sweetest picture of the Gospel and I'm such a sucker for a good love story! I was the only bridesmaid up there just sniffling away so I tried to sniffle reallllllly quietly. Ha.

Anyways, I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and trying to settle into a summer routine. Later in the week, I'll be posting on Teaching Blog Roundup (TBR) and also sharing some new ideas here in this little corner of the bloggy world. I really am thrilled to be back--I missed my teacher friends!!

To kick start my summer, I picked out the books that I've been meaning to read and will finally get the chance to do so (hopefully!). I posted a picture of the stack earlier today on Instagram,
but here it is in all it's insta-filter glory:

Still unsure about where to begin, though.

What are you reading this summer?!
I'm always looking for new reading material...
so I can add it to my stack and get around to reading it one day. Oops.
:)

  1. Erin,

I'd love to hear more about your European classroom jaunt. Did you go with a group? Did you have a specific learning agenda? Hope you'll be blogging the details and pics.

    1. Hi Jill!

I went as part of my Master's program with school for the purpose of comparing Italian education with American education! It was the trip of a lifetime. I will definitely be sharing ideas and thoughts from the trip, but unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures in the actual classrooms--they were a bit more strict on rules. :(

Thanks for being a faithful reader! You are so appreciated!! :)
